A chemical peel causes a controlled sloughing off of dead skin with regeneration of fresher, healthier tissue. This regenerated skin is typically smoother, less wrinkled and has less pigmentation and blemishes than the old skin. It is a clinical procedure which should only be carried out by a trained professional.

NEOSTRATA® Glycolic Skin Peels

The NeoStrata Rejuvenating Peels are initially mild, lighter peels containing glycolic acid (made from sugar cane) at increasing strengths of 20%, 35%, 50% and 70%. Everyone starts off gently with a 20% peel. The peels increase in strength and duration depending on your skin’s tolerance.

The procedure is fast and convenient, taking only about 20 minutes. Immediately afterwards your skin will feel glowing and be slightly red for about an hour. There is no significant pain or discomfort and you will notice a difference in your skin texture immediately.

For maximum benefit, a course of 6 peels is recommended, one every 4 weeks. It takes 3 to 6 months for collagen building to occur, plumping up the skin layers.
